This is one to stare at, Kay...almost an abstract look. At first I thought there was an eagle staring back! smile
Kay: You're right, Ginnie. It does look like an eagle's head. smile
Very nice Kay, almot like an oil painting.
Kay: Thank you so much...the whole Columbia Gorge looks like a real life oil painting. It's amazing.

Reminds me of an oil painting. The colors are so rich and deep. Lovely.
Kay: Thanks very much, Marcie. grin
Kay, your processing is superb.
Kay: Thank you, Bridge. Hope things are going fine out in your part of the world! All my best, Kay
Oh my, this holds the attention for quite some time. I love it, Kay. I can look at this and I feel as though I am being absorbed by the place. (:o)
Kay: So glad you like this one, Roz. It does get a little overwhelming at time (the view) because there's so much to see.

A very good tiered composition! I like the magical glow of the water too smile
Kay: Thank you, Martin! I had to lower the exposure a little bit and heighten the contrast.
beautiful postcard image Kaysmile
Kay: Thank you, Tim! Yours are always like that, and I aspire to that level.
Extraordinary - is that a rock in the middle? I like the depth too and the processing.
Kay: Hi Ian, yes that's a volcanic rock...mainly ancient lava. The Cascades are full of cones and volcanic matter. (Mt. St. Helens is not far away). Some of the landscapes are surreal.

Excellent - woods in the kay tradition. That pattern of fir tops against the mountain side is a winner.
Kay: Thank you very much, Louis!

Very Nice view, but the light on on the water causes that it does not seem to comprise of the scene!
