Bridge at Cannon Beach, Oregon

I spent a few hours this weekend playing in Photoshop.  To be honest, I did quite a few things with this picture, and lost track of what I did, other than adding the blur and framing (vignette).

I quite like this. I feel drawn into the picture.
Kay: Thank you very much, Jessie smile
Never mind Kay - it looks a very interesting composition
Kay: Thanks, Chris! It was a few hours of experimentation. Wasn't sure I was going to post it on SC, but I took the leap. smile

I like the blurry effect in the picture but not so keen on the dark border. It might look better if you just darken the corners a little, but I sometimes think this is an effect that can be overdone.

Kay: Hi Ingrid, I do appreciate your comment. Not everybody likes this type of picture. I was trying to simulate a picture taken with the Holga camera. I should have put that in my caption! But please continue to be honest with me, because that helps me learn and grow. Thank you smile

Well..whatever you did - it worked. I like the old tonal feeling and the faded colors. The result is rather dream-like.
Kay: Thank you, Marcie!

Not sure I like the dark edges but like the dreamy blur
Kay: Thanks for stopping by, Aussie. Your comments are always welcomed!

Yes, it pulls me in to the frame.

I really like this
Now this is what I call proper twiddling, the most important part of which is not being quite sure how you did it! This means you may never quite do the same thing again and thousands of people won't be able to copy it. This picture looks like it was taken in about 1860!

Whatever combination of things you did makes the picture look, for me anyway, quite old almost out of an archive. I like looking at the scene, it could tell a story.
Kay: Thank you, Ellie! The actual photograph is rather dull in comparison. I wanted to make it stand out a little.

My first reaction was that the figure was a knight on a white steed.

What a charming image! I love the effect. Great job, Kay!

I think somewhere in it you have done the kay effect as well. Looks like someone on a horse is crossing the bridge.

Great picure and conversion.
Great treatment! I like this try!
Kay: ¡Usted es tan agradable, José Angel! Gracias mucho.
