Beautiful! The bush looks huge! I really like the light and shadows in this one Kay.
Kay: Hi Martie, thank you! After getting used to taking pictures on partly cloudy or cloudy days, I often find it difficult to take pictures when it is extremely sunny. As it was on the day I took this picture.
Awesome rhododendrons, I always loved the colors of these flowers. Beautiful picture.
Kay: Thank you, John. The Rhodendron Gardens were spectacular this year in Portland. This was taken a week before Mothers Day.

I don't think I've ever seen a bush of rhododendrons this big, Kay. WOW! And this is one of my favorite colors for them. It reminds me of lilacs.
Kay: Hi Ginnie, When (not if) you do come out this way for a visit, we must make plans to visit the Chrystal Springs Rhododendron Gardens. They have a wide range of colorful blooms. smile Thanks for your lovely comment.

Wow, that's one heck of a shrub! Glorious
Kay: Hi Ellie, Portland is not only known for their roses, (called the rose city) buth they are also known for the beautiful Rhododendrons that thrive in gardens around the area. This is one of the biggest Rho. shrubs I've seen.
