reigning over fields of green

Thanks to all for your comments in the past few days.  In the next few, I will try to answer all of them.    You see, I've been out and about taking some shots to post here on SC.

Here's an aerial shot taken recently after the storms subsided in Oregon.

That's a wonderful peak. What is it called?
Kay: Hi Ian. It's called Mt Hood. The highest peak (over 13000 ft) in Oregon.
Wonderful with this clouds hat! Very nice POV
Kay: Thank you very much, Richard! It was a beautiful day to fly.

Excellent picture. The state of Oregon should commission you.

It looks majestic!
Kay: Thanks so much, Martin! I love your comments smile
Picture perfect. Great composition, really like the snow covered mountain and clouds in the background. Along with the foreground scene, it's just a beautiful image.
Kay: Thank you for the very nice complement John. I am deeply honored.

Wow, I would love to see this with my own eyes. Fantastic.
Kay: You'll have to fly out here, Kathryn. I have a pilot friend who can take you up, for a small fee! Thank you!
A grand point of view Kay with the mountain lording it over the town. Well seen Kay.
Kay: Thank you very much, Les!
A likey !
Very well done my friend !!
Kay: Merci, Zeb! What an honor you have given me! Thank you!
This is beautiful, Kay.
Kay: Thank you, Bridge!
The only way I can think of to describe this is ...it's a big landscape! smile
Kay: You are right, Bill! It is huge when you get up in the air and look around.

Beautiful backdrop to this town. I've been to Mt. Hood just once and it was a lovely mountain - great snow for boarding!
Kay: You're right, Jewlya! It is a great place to go boarding. We've had a record amount of snow up here...more so than in the past 30 years from what they say. It's a "boarder's heaven"!
That is and excellent mount hood shot.
Kay: Thank you very much, Michael!

Stunningly beautiful Kay, the greens are rather amazing, dull but warm. That mountain, well, it coulnd't be in a better place for a picture smile
Kay: Thanks, Ellie! I'll be posting a few more aerial shots this week. Hope you like them!
Wow - that is so amazing!

I dream of being that much closer to your mountains. The one time I was, I didn't have my camera with me... sad

We see Mt Baker on clear days and I have a secret street on the north shore to view the mtn..

Great shot!
Kay: Jen, Thanks! It is pretty spectacular. I look forward to seeing Mt Baker and Rainier close up. smile

Beautiful shot and region! i thought it was the Himalayas when i first saw this. If one looks closely you can see he wind whipping wisps of cloud off the top
Kay: Thank you so much Liam. This is Mt. Hood, in Portland Oregon. I live just a few miles West of Portland, and have a good pilot friend who takes me flying once in a while so I can get some shots in.
Way down the hill there you can see tiny houses with even tinier windows. in one of those windows is probably a tiny face.

Way, way in the distance there are even tinier houses with even tinier windows and another tiny face.

That's a big piece of rock!
Kay: LOL smile Your comment has to be the best of all, Colin! I love it! You should think about writing stories, if you haven't been doing so all this time.
