photoblog image Canon Beach, Oregon

Canon Beach, Oregon

Many apologies for being away.  Life has been busy here in rainy Oregon.  I have camera withdrawals.  I also have Shutterchance withdrawals.  Thanks to all of you have have left comments in the past few days.  You are all the very best.  I appreciate each one of your comments and visits to my site.

It's been snowing in the cascades so I'm hoping for a good shot of a snowy peak or two as soon as the sun stops hiding in the clouds, and that includes the clouds surrounding the mountain tops.

For now, here is a five-picture series of Canon Beach shots taken last Spring.

Nice processing! I like how you make the figures on the beach stand out. You could try cropping out the cloud in the upper right to see if that improves balance.
Kay: Great suggestion, Martin. I think it will improve the picture's balance. Thank you for your comment and for visiting. It's truly appreciated.

Don't crop it out, Kay...clone it out because I like that part of the beach with the people so far off in the distance.

I agree with Martin about how the figures on the beach really stand out. You do shots like this so well.

Guess I'll have to do a lot of backtracking after our cruise!
Welcome again, Kay! It missed to you! I like the atmosphere that you have given this photo... and I wait for with many desire your photos with snow. To my it enchants the snow to me!

Since I was focussed on the beach I didn't even see the cloud until I read the comments.

On some of our beaches it looks as hazy as your processing made this one look. That is on warm humid summer days.

Great picture. You gotta fight the withdrawel symptoms. When you get busy workwise, space the blogs, e.g. every second day. Otherwise it can get you down.

I really like this shot Kay. Beautiful processing.
Just the name, Oregon, fires my imagination! I was brought up on a diet of big adventure films, and I see wagon trains struggling on against almost impossible odds. Love this shot, Kay. An incredible sense of space and fresh air and freedom. (:o)
Beautiful shot and processing Kay.
