photoblog image fishing at battleground lake

fishing at battleground lake

I left my wide angle lens at home, so when I took this picture, I chose to focus more on the guy on the right, and the fish who got away (see him/her jumping in the background)?

The wide angle would have been really cool, but this is alright!
Kay: Thank you very much, Nacha!

I can hear that fish breaking the surface of the water, Kay...and neither guy is looking. Hmmm. You have certainly caught the "silence" of fishing!
Kay: Hi Ginnie! It was a very quiet lake. Even tho a few people were around. I think the trees softened the noise wink Thanks as always for visiting!
Very peaceful. Nice composition and the processing adds to the relaxed look.
Kay: Thank you very much, Michael!

I wish I was there with them!
Hey, what happened to the fishing pier? I should see a beautiful texture of aged wood...
Kay: The fishing pier was brand new, therefore not aged. And I tried to bring the texture out, but that did not balance the rest of the picture very well.
I love the processing. Green is my fave color anyway So I am of course drawn. Very cool shot.
Kay: Thank you very much, Gail!
Another beautiful, soft shot of a tranquil landscape. Wonderful.
Kay: Thank you, Jewlya. Glad you like it!

Very good Kay. It sums up very nicely why I cannot see the point of fishing

Great picture and the jumping fish is the cherry! Such a peaceful scene.

I like this new processing that you applied here. Different from the old Kay, but still with a lot of the feel.
Kay: Thank you very much, Louis!

The green cast and strong highlights lend this a somewhat ominous air that contrasts sharply with the subject matter. Unusual and therefor interesting! Definitely not your standard fishing shot.
Kay: Thank you Martin! Now that you mention it, it kinda reminds me of that movie, Cape Fear. smile And I could not watch all of it!
very nice tones and composition.
Kay: Thank you, Dotun!
excellent!, people as well...tones and glow is great as always...possibly a bit of straightening required...
Kay: Thank you, Sam!
