king of the hill

Another picture taken in the scenic Columbia Gorge area. Lewis & Clark made their camp nearby. Visitors can drive up to the top of the hill for a fantastic view (still have to do that). Learn more about Oregon's Crown Point at:

Thanks to all of you who have commented the past few days.  I have been out of pocket, but will be sure to respond to your comments.  Have a nice weekend!

Your pics really do make me want to visit Oregon one of these years, SOON, Kay! It really is a fabulous state.
Kay: Hi Ginnie, can't wait to see you up here! It really is beautiful1 smile
Kay, I love the look of all your shots. What is your secret?
Kay: Hi Michael, thank you for the compliment! My secret? hmmm. Well to be honest, I'm an avg user of Photoshop. I use a few actions that I found online, and add to them using the contrast, shadow/highlights, hue & saturation tools. Sometimes the channel mixer helps out. If they look fine, I post the picture. If not, then it's back to scratch. So I don't really have a secret. It's all experimentation and blending.
Hi Kay, I spent almost 2 hours going through all 129 of your photos and the accompanying descriptions, not forgetting the poems, and I loved every minute of it. I have learned much about Oregon, SD and others just by going through your photoblog. Thank you for sharing them with us.
Kay: Helen, I think you just gave me one of the best compliments I've had. Thank YOU for visiting. I'm glad you like the pictures. You definitely have to come out and visit to see it for yourself! Thank you again!
Beautiful image, Kay. I have been been down the coast all the way to San Diego a few times. Thank you for showing me what I haven't yet seen.
Kay: Thank you, Suzanne. I'm finding little gems here and there as I explore the area.
