photoblog image windswept

windswept

Taken on the Columbia River in the scenic Columbia River Gorge.  Obviously you know by now if you've looked at my archive, this is one of the areas I've been spending a lot of time in lately.

The little white "spots" in the left hand side of the picture, are birds.

Very strange light to it with such darkness and such brightness. I like it.

I like the progression from light at the bottom to dark at the top.
Kay: Thank you for your comment, Martin smile
Yes, the progession of light is wonderful. It is nice that the top two segments have the lovely triangular shapes.

The opposing triangles of green and the water color are very appealing.

This feels very Canadian, Kay! And that's a compliment, of course. That sense of dense, virgin wilderness! I hope we never lose it. You have definitely captured the feel of it here!
Kay: Thank you so much, Ginnie smile

Kay: Hi, Shakara. I imagine there are bears and lots of deer. smile
