Waterfall, Columbia Gorge, Oregon

No, I did not have a tripod when I shot this, hence the rocks and outlying foliage are not in focus :(

The captured water has such a nice quality, like silken threads.

Nicely done and not that blurry for hand held Kay. I was in the same situation when I went out with Mal a couple of weekends back, there was his camera, rock steady on a tripod and me wedged between rocks to get the same pic hand held at 1/6 sec or longer!!Many regards, Neil.
Kay: Neil, well then, I'm sure your picture turned out very nicely. smile Thank you for your kind words smile

You actually came out with some of that movement blur that others have been doing with water, Kay. So, congratulations. smile
Kay: Thanks very much, Ginnie smile I'm still learning here.
Very nicely done Kay, lovely.
Kay: Aw, thanks Bridge!

Absolutely well done smile
Kay: Thank you very much, Ellie!
Looks great. I don't think it matters that the rocks are a little blurry. Just say Mal inspired you smile
Kay: grin LOL! Martin, you are very funny!

Lol @ Martin, I was about to say I like the blur them spotted Martins comment, perfect in my book. mal
Kay: grin, Thanks very much Mal!
This is very nice work Kay, I won't say anything about the need for a tripod with shots like this (I'm sure you know and it has been commented on) however I will comment on the basic subject matter: This is a little different for you, (most of your shots are of stationary objects, trees, etc. or shots where "you" are moving [like in a plane for example]) and to have you shooting "out of your comfort zone" with moving subjects is great!

Keep pushing your limits and trying new things, I really like this one.
Kay: Doug, thank you so much for your comment smile I will remember your advice, and try to push my limits...with Mentors like you, Mal, Suby, Ellie, Ginnie, Zeb, Redpen, Martin, Jose, and so on, how can I help but get better! Thank you very much smile
Then, Kay, the result is very good!
Kay: Jose, Gracias por comentar. ¡Estoy alegre usted tengo gusto de esta foto! ¡Sé solamente un poco de español! Los pescados de Babel ayudaron.
Awesome shot
Kay: Anup, I've read all of your comments, and want to thank you for each one of them. I really appreciate and am grateful for your support. Especially more since you are a great photographer, and have an eye for composition. smile Thank you again, and have a wonderful weekend, my friend.
