photoblog image Mt. Rainier and ?

Mt. Rainier and ?

This picture was taken from an airplane as I was flying back from Phoenix. We were just about to land in Portland.

Truth be known, I'm not sure if  Mt. Rainier is in the background, and I don't know the name of the mountain in the foreground.   Do any of you know the answer?  It's not Mt St. Helens.

I thought it was Mt. Hood, but a friend told me that Mt. Hood has a sharper peak.

I don't know either, Kay, but you really caught a humdinger! I especially like how you cropped this.

Wow Kay!! Es un paisaje fantástico. La vista desde el aire tuvo que ser realmente asombrosa. Me gusta mucho.

Wow Kay! It is a fantastic landscape. The view from the air had to be really amazing. I like much.
Kay: Thank you Jose!
Kay, it looks like Mt. Adams where the Gifford Pinchot National Forest is. I worked on it two summers in the late 70's. The first year, I was on a fire crew, and the next I was planting trees. This belongs on a calendar!
Your fan,
Erik
Kay: Thanks Erik. I should have thought it was Mt. Adams. But I've never seen the peak up close like this. Thanks for letting me know. And I'm glad you like this picture too!
The lighting is gorgeous....
Kay: Thank you, Anup!
I don't know the name but I propose "Mt Wonderful Shot" smile
