photoblog image Over the Williamette

Over the Williamette

You can see more of Portland in this picture.  It backs up to a  hilly or mountainous region...an area called Forest Park, I believe.  Again, this is just a portion of downtown Portland.  The waterfront park is that green strip along the river.  Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) http://www.ohsu.edu/ is that clump of buildings at the top of the picture.

I had no idea Portland had so many bridges, Kay. We actually have talked about a week's vacation in Portland some day. I know it's supposed to be a fabulous city. How fun to see it from above!
Kay: Hi Ginnie, I'm still new to the area, and have lots more to explore. Very glad I had this chance to go up in the sky wink
I like how the buildings gleam on the dark mountain side.
Kay: Thank you, Martin wink Some of it was due to pp, I have to say.

Oooh, that looks like a lovely riverfront park down there.

Were you in an aircraft when you took this?
Kay: Hi Ellie, Yes, a friend of mine who I work with is a pilot, and offered to take me up for a ride after work. Was very fun!

The flying photographer. The picture is so clear and judging by the lights it must be late.
Kay: Hi Louis, you are right. It was getting late here. Can't wait to go flying again in the daylight hours!
This one is great too though I prefer this of yesterday smile smile

It is good for having friends pilots who accompany to you to make these magnificent photos aerial! By something they seemed to me scale models. I like much, Kay
Kay: I'm glad you like them, Jose! Thank you!

Kay, you make me want to move back! I lived in Portland in the late 70's, and I see it's changed. You do very nice work.
Thanks for your comment on my site. We are all enjoying this together.
Enjoy my old home!
Love from Erik
