Portland Bridges

Monday evening, I was very lucky to go on a plane ride with my friend and colleague at work.  He flew me over the Williamette to get some shots of the bridges!  I will be posting a few shots here.  This picture is one of the better ones.  Just a piece of downtown Portland can be seen on the right.  Portland is truly beautiful from the air and the land.

My apologies for not responding to comments the past two days. I will try to catch up!  Thank you for all of your comments!!

We don't see much aerial photography on here. Interesting and worthwhile!
Kay: Martin,
If you can charter a plane ride in SD next month, please feel free to do so! I'd love to see shots of the coast from the sky (hint!). wink Ginnie would love it too! We are both homesick for SD. But there's water around Portland, and the coast is not far away, so at least I have that to console me for a while...

Kay: Hi Suby,
Thank you! It was a breeze, actually. My boyfriend agrees with you. He is a little cautious of small planes. But the ride was smooth, and I turned my thoughts over to the camera. I think I took over 125 shots -- only a few turned out okay, due to the fading light.
very nice, I love aerial shots.
Kay: Thank you, Dotun smile

This is splendid, Kay! I LOVE all the bridges. It's funny that you're showing this now because when we flew into NYC on Saturday, I was able to get similar pics of the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges from the air. It's so fun to see things from above, isn't it! I wonder if that's because we seldom get to see that perspective...and thus the rarity on SC!
Kay: Hi Ginnie,
It was unbelievable. I had a smile plastered across my face the whole time I was up there. grin Thanks for commenting!
Awesome.....
Kay: Thank you very much, Anup! smile
