Raccoon

A Forest Walk Series# 1

This is the first of a few pictures taken in and around a forest near my home.  As you know, Portland is a place where it's more likely to be cloudy and rainy.  But when those sunny days hit, you can bet everyone is out enjoying the wonderful weather.  Including this racoon and his mate.   I wish I had brought my telephoto lens along so I could have captured a wonderful close-up.  But I'm grateful that this little raccoon let me take this picture.

Awww. That little rascal is adorable when he sits up in the tree and leaves well enough alone. Look at how curious he looks. Great capture, Kay! Makes me smile. smile
Oh so sweet! No racoons in our area. Not enough trees. Your picture is awesome.
Kay: Hi! Thanks for your comments! The little raccoon was nice enough to let me take his picture, but still wild enough to run when I took a step forward to try to get a better shot.
