contemplation
This is for all of us - the state of the global economy, pay cuts, life changes, career changes, and our struggle to get through it all.
We're all affected in one way or another. Economically, I am. Pay cuts start next week. But I'm still lucky to have a job.
The good news? Look at what's ahead after we get through it - new beginnings, new jobs, new careers, a chance to begin again. Opportunities.
As we meditate about what life is like now, and what it's going to be like down the road, perhaps we should stop and take notice of the bright side of life.

I totally agree, Kay! This is our opportunity to recreate the wheel and make it better than it ever was. Shame on us if we don't seize the day! I like how you have used this austere image to make your point.
There is alway something to be thankful for. What a lovely reminder..much needed in these difficult times. Good one, Kay!
I like you words Kay,good photo to go with them
I agree with your words Kay. Thanks for reminding us!
Your picture is a great illustration of them.
I agree word for word with Richard but while we've got a PM in total denial about the part he played in all this I fear it will be a while before we start to get out of the woods.
wow..great light..I adore it..is full of meaning...
Looks like a great space for some serious contemplation, your photograph catches the mood superbly.
Personally, I am going through tremendous changes and always expect the best in the end. A Change Is Gonna Come.

lol nice one Kay, oh yes i am sure in the deep end but you have to keep laughing as i do, the thing that really winds me up is were i live half the estate doesn't work and never will, are they bothered about the crunch NO, why, because they get everything paid for by the tax payer
A wonderful quiet austerity to this Kay. I fear that the new beginnings will lead to new greed and the next recession. We have learnt nothing since the South Sea Bubble.
This is a very poignant shot and inspiring words. You have no idea how tired I am of people whining about the economy and expecting a new government to do everything for them. Your enthusiaism and optimism is refreshing and I hope all of us look at the situation this way.
I like the green, bare feel to the image, you've really captured it well. At first I thought the picture might be better off with a little sharpening, but I think the soft glow and slight haziness adds to the overall message. Kudos Kay
Splendid image! Very nicely spotted and captured, I love the colors and use of light here.
Very dreamy like quality to this image.
Excellent illustration of the state of economy - the bench is emptying, but the sun enters from one side.
we came with nothing and we'll go with nothing.
masterfully made, Ms. Kay. and with a thought. What else should I expect.
This is a really nice picture i like how the picture almost looks like it has been made in oil pastel by the textures in the picture
Great photo, Kay - and I could not agree with you more. We need to count our blessings and focus on the positive! Looking forward to a new world!
salut a tout les ame entrée se cyte web et je lescrai c'est lestres pour active mon adrais ent vous et merci a tou les sponsophe
I agree with you Kay. Like the words and a stunning image. The light and shadows create the mood in this shot. Excellent work and composition.
A place to sit down, the shades of green and the softened light give this its air of restful contemplation. The window and the the glimpse of a brightr world outside gives a sense of hope and direction. An image full of meaning Kay.
I'm coming through a very tough time and things look bright for me rather than it being the other way as for many people now. I can't help thinking that the world will forever go through similar cycles. We've learned little these last two thousand years.
Thank you for this Kay. A photo with hope.
Wonderful composition, great light. now I can understand your choice of an image on my blog. thank you.
This is a lovely image and the light streaming in through the window signifies Hope
Wonderful! Likey for my!
