Wow - there is so much that works well in this shot! I like that you have 1/3 the dock and the rest is the reflections. The use of light and shadows is really nice and the texture of the water is unique. Lovely shot.
Kay: Thank you, Jewlya! I was not sure how people would take this shot...it's so not me. However, it's good to step out of the usual shots and shake things up once in a while, right? Thanks for your great comment!
Gorgeous. The reflection looks like an Impressionist painting.
Kay: Thank you, Michael!

Kay: You are so nice, Kathryn! Thanks! Your picture took my breath away. I had to add it to my likeys!
This is a beautiful, beautiful shot and the sepia is perfect for it though I would never have imagined that.
Kay: Thank you, Mary. I wanted the shadows and light to stand out...so I played around with this image in Lightroom. It worked out okay.
This is breathtaking and it is hard to tear my eyes away from it. I just LOVE it.
Kay: Thank you so much, Laura! You're so kind!!!
I'm not really taking tome to make comments today, Kay, but I have to say that this struck me right now because there is no wake for Donica's mom's memorial service, or before. You didn't know that, of course. How appropriate.
Kay: Ginnie,
I don't know how to explain this, but the "no wake" sign struck me too. I do and did not know what it meant, but somehow I knew that I was supposed to post this shot. You see, I posted another one...very similar to this one...for today. And I switched it about 11 minutes after the other one posted. In my family, we have a "sixth sense" about things. I was supposed to post this shot for you. I just know it...and you confirmed it. Please do take care today. Know that good thoughts and prayers surround you. All my best, Kay

There is something unreal about the reflection Kay, it took me a while to see just how it all fitted together, well seen.

This is a wonderful image Kay, a real inspiration to a beginner
Kay: David, thanks! I trust you are not referring to yourself as a "beginner", becuase your photos reflect just the opposite. I appreciate your comments, truly!
Love this shot. Something about the juxtaposition of the rippling refelctions and the still 'No Wake' sign.
