mt hood - a diiferent point of view

Yes, we ski or board all year round up here.  And no, Spring has not started yet, but it will be here next month!

Yesterday a group of us from work met up at Mt Hood Meadows, one of the ski resorts on the mountain.  I took pictures, while others went skiing.  Yes, I do ski, but I'm in the photo mode right now.

I had to climb a steep snow bank to get to this point in this picture.  At other places I sunk down to my knees in the snow, and I'm not a very heavy person, so I had to be extremely careful in my footing.

Less than 3 weeks ago, it was avalanche conditions up in the Cascades.  Now the snow is actively melting.  Spring is on its way.

A beautiful inviting view and very nicely worked light. I'd be curious to see this without the vignette.
