photoblog image a pocketful of snow

a pocketful of snow

In case you haven't heard, it has recently been snowing in the Cascades.   This picture was taken off of Hwy 26, on the way to Government Camp below the historic and famous Timberline lodge.  We had to turn around because I didn't have chains for traction, and the snow was starting to pile up on the road.

You are lucky to have the snow so close! In your image I like the treatment and the presentation, but the snow I am not able to differentiate it... I want snow! grin
Kay: You are right, Jose. You are so right. I notice the snow doesn't stand out very much, and that's my fault. I guess I was seeing it with "my" eyes - as I saw it that day I took the picture.

So everyone, please feel free to comment on the picture, but now that we've established that it doesn't look like snow...well, you know...I'm in a green mood today. smile

It looks like snow to me, Kay, but has a nicely muted feel to it. It's also very mysterious, in your style! The B&W conversion is a nice surprise!
Splendid winter time mono picture Kay. Splendid, really. It deserves to go through my likeys at one ! smile

incredible, great image. beautiful
I can see the snow Kay. My feeling is that the foreground tree is selfish and does not want to share the light with his mates
I like the image but it's had to tell it's snow.

Maybe bring out the shadows a little bit.

Snow!!!! Something I feel we'll never see in The Netherland due to the climate change. Great shot Kay.
