We are a canon shop too.
Love our Cameras. Branding is irrelevant these days, as most large brands are excellent.

Nice forest shot .. smile

Cheers

Oh yes Kay - a wonderful camera indeed. We now expect many great shots!
You got used to it very quickly!
Wonderful capture.
Congrats on the new purchase. I got mine about 2 weeks ago and absolutely love it too. The clarity is, as you say, quite exceptional.
And this is a beautiful first post with it. Super colours.
I love this verdant green! Nothing like a new camera.
Nice to have a new toy to play with Kay, a very good shot to start off with.
Hi Kay... I just picked up a 50D as well, for a backup body, for a telephoto body with its 1.6 X multiplier effect, and for the great viewfinder. The live view feature may be useful for me to precheck fine focus under magnification... haven't tried that yet. The 6.3 fps is useful at times, and most of all, it tells me if I want to trade in my 5D for the Mark II... and I will now. This pair of bodies should satisfy my needs for some time to come... Canon will have to upgrade their lenses to Zeiss standards in order for a 32 or 52 MP sensor to produce higher resolution. We've reached a resolution pleateau now. Have fun with your new tool, or new toy - your choice of perspective!
And you've done a great job with it here Kay. I hope it serves you well.
Kay: Thank you, Bernie! I'm having a very good time taking pictures with it too.

How green was my valley ... er, forrest smile Great picture.

I very nearly bought one of them 50D's, but then read the performance tests and was disappointed - especially with noise management on high ISO sensitivity. Currently considering 500D and 5D Mk II - will probably be the first mentioned for price reasons and 1.6 multiplier effect (important with birds).

But let me not wet your enthusiasm, I have my specific uses and therefor my specific needs. Congrats and enjoy.
Kay: Thank you, Louis! I am very happy with it so far. It was either the 50D or Nikon D300. I chose this one, and am very glad I did! The noise levels have been fine so far.
Add me to the list of new Canon 50D owners ( a Mothers Day gift from my husband) I hope you enjoy your new camera. I personally think there are pros and cons to every camera. You seem to have a good handle on by the looks of this fine photo.Lovely color and tones.Makes me wish I was walking there now.
Kay: I hope you love your new camera, DD. What a very nice husband you have! Thank you so much for your comments.
