NW Oregon in late Fall

Just before the snow hit in NW Oregon, it was already getting cold and foggy. I took the back roads home from Astoria (on the coast) to Portland and hurried on my way. Didn't want to get trapped on a strange road where I've never been. Running from encroaching fog, I sped along the old two lane road with unfamiliar faces and landscape. But the sound of this creek made me stop and take a picture.

This is so lovely. I live in New york city..never get to see sights like this.
Kay: I hear you have a lot of snow there, Ada. I hope it's starting to melt. I would love to live in NYC. I have a friend who moved out there recently. Hmmm will have to visit.

Nothing beats a babbling brook, beautiful scene
Kay: Thank you, Zed.
Glad you did stop, kay. This is a very attractive scene and has a lovely painting feel to it. I can imagine that go a few yards off the road and you won't see another soul!
Kay: Yep, and that's why I was rushing home. I've read too many horror stories in my life, and I didn't want to be involved in one! You never know who's lurking about in the woods!
Lovely.

An extract from Alfred, Lord Tennyson ''Tee Brook''

I chatter over stony ways,
In little sharps and trebles,
I bubble into eddying bays,
I babble on the pebbles.

With many a curve my banks I fret
By many a field and fallow,
And many a fairy foreland set
With willow-weed and mallow.

I chatter, chatter, as I flow
To join the brimming river,
For men may come and men may go,
But I go on for ever.

Not only nature but also a little cabin overwhelmed by nature as I can see on the backside ;-)
No power, natural water, a quite lovely place to spend a few days, isn't it ?
Kay: You are right, Martial. It would be nice to spend a few days away...just to take a break. smile

Kay: It does look peaceful, doesn't it, Richard!
This makes me long for the woods. Lovely.

So lush and green, even for late autumn
Kay: It is like that here, Ellie. A lot of evergreens mixed with birch, and other trees.

Amazing color. It looks like a fantasy land.
Kay: I know. I'm surprised this picture came out like that. It was getting foggy, and the light was a little off. Thanks, Beth!
