Wow. I've taken some pictures of haystack rock, but none this good. The fog give it a kind of erie feeling.
Kay: Thanks Karl! The day I took this picture, it was in the low 60's on the coast, and in the high 30's to mid 40's in Portland. Glad I took the short drive!

a so great foggy atmosphere within Oregon shores ... I really like this pictures with a mix between hills and cliff falling down into the water (my land;-). Some places I don't know in America.
Kay: You'll have to travel out here, Martial! It's quite lovely. Of course, I'd love to go to Malaysia sometime, myself. smile

Kay: The sea definitely smells, Tracy! LOL!!! Sometimes good, sometimes bad. But the fresh air is wonderful smile
A fine capture Kay, the band of fog really adds tot he atmoshere of the place.
Kay: Les, thank you. It was a little sunnier south of the rocks, but you're right. This does add some atmosphere!

What a beautiful scene! Wonderful composition and color.
Kay: Thank you so much, Beth! I'm glad you like it.
There are so many layers here starting with the white topped waves. An incredible scene that deserves a likey.
Kay: Wow, Mary, I am very honored. Thank you so much!!!

Kay: Thank you very much, Sarina!
Wonderfully atmospheric picture Kay.
Kay: Thank you, Bill!
The mist and the layered look of the hills is terrific.
Kay: Thank you, Michael! Hope you're surviving the winter okay!
We have 'Haystack' a worthy peak in our Cumbrian Mountains ... but of course not surrounded by sea.
This is a powerful image Kay.

Ah, thank you for posting this, Kay. I've had three attempts to capture this view myself and failed miserably each time! I'll try again one day when (if?) the UK pound ever recovers against the dollar.
Kay: Alan, thank you! You were in Washington this past summer, right? I look forward to your pictures regardless where you are or have been!

Real excellent with the rows of ridges interspersed with foggy layers. This now start to sound like a recipe for a layered cake tongue
Kay: Ah, a layered cake. I'm partial to the seven layer dip, common to superbowl parties and appetizers in Mexican restaurants. smile Thanks, Louis!
A beautiful foggy wintery picture from Kay!
Kay: Oh yes! If it was snowing here, like it has been in London, you would have seen snow covered beaches in Oregon. (it does happen) Hope weather in your neck of the woods is okay.
