I LOVE rivers that run through it, Kay, but the bridge takes the cake! What a fabulous vantage point.
Kay: Ginnie, there are lots of bridges in Oregon and Washington. I couldn't even tell you where this one was! But I love them. Portland has about 4-5 downtown.

Isn't it Potomac river ??? I like nature, river passing through forest (reminds me a small hotel in vermont with lot of hummingbirds ...)but, as it has been said, the bridge takes the cake ;-)
Kay: Hi martial, this picture was taken in Washington State (not Washington DC). Washington is on the West Coast of the U.S. Very mountainous, lots of trees, and beautiful vistas. Vermont is quite similar - as you pointed out smile Thank you for your comment!
Wonderful shot. Beautiful colour and I love the slight softness whicha was probably the window.
Kay: Hi Michael. The softness was due to my post processing, but it could also be due to the window too ;-)
