B&W is a bit unusual for you Kay. Beautiful image
Kay: Thank you Aussie. I wanted to try something different!

You see, things often work that you might not have previously believed would. Flowers in black and white, and I love them.

The way the flower is wilting, suggests a lack of water or the end of it's short journey in life. Together with the monotone, it gives a slightly sad feeling overall, which I think works splndedly.

You have given me ideas now smile
Kay: Hi Paul. Glad I've given you ideas. Your pictures and prose do the same for me. smile

I love seeing flowers in black and white. Lovely what you've done here. Has a timeless feel to it.
Kay: Thank you, Ada!
The b/w processing is superb in this composition. Love the softness that is portrayed in this image. The contrasts of the white flowers and background is excellent.
Kay: Thank you so much, John. smile

Lovely dreamy feel to this one Kay - the b/w works so well. People are usually unwilling to try b/w with flowers, because the colour is normally such a strong part of the image. Freed from the colour you can concentrate on other aspects, such as form and texture. It is always a pleasure to look at your blog - you have such an individual style.

Kay: Ingrid, I treasure this very lovely comment. Thank you so much.

Love it! A perfect composition.
Kay: Thank you, Martie!
This works very well in monochrome Kay, most unusual presentation of flowers.
Kay: Thanks very much, Brian.
