photoblog image windows to the sky

windows to the sky

I was sitting in a small Mediteranean restaurant eating some delicious food, looked up and grabbed my camera.  I could not miss the opportunity, as the lighting was perfect.   Martin, this one's for you.

Lovely structure and the lighting is indeed lovely..Is the building abandoned?
Kay: Thank you, Ada! I really appreciate your comments. I have no idea if the building is abandoned or not. Judging from its location next to Pike's Place market (a popular tourist trap), I would say no.
Nice capture of the lines.
Kay: Thank you, Sesan!

Terrific Kay ! I love that perfect blue reflecting in the windows. Stairs are so graphic.

Really like these urban images Kay ... I just can't resist external fire escapes either ... I've posted a few of them myself.

Perfect lighting - love the blue sky reflected in the windows and the shadows on the wall.

Kay: Thank you, Ingrid smile
Superb architectural shot. The bright reflective duct really stands out from the dark brickwork and the deep blue of the windows matches the sky. Very strong.
Kay: Thank you, Ian! I love your comment. It makes me feel really good about this picture.

Ooooo.. I like the blue in the windows matching the blue in the sky (I don't know the correct photography term for this!) The blue and gray go together so well!
Kay: SuRi, I don't know the photographic term for it either, but I'm so glad you like the picture. smile
Too true Kay - the lighting was perfect for this interesting effect!
